If Good Health equals wealth, how come everybody is sick?

I get a lot of calls from people wanting me to reach out to their friends and family to assist them with their health. They often even offer to pay for this person to see me. I love helping people, but I don’t reach out and call people. They have to take the first step and call me. A lot of people say they want to be healthy, wish their illness was gone, or that they had no more pain, but when it comes to actually doing something about it many people put on the brakes.

People have to be to a point where their health issue is bothering them so much, that they are at a breaking point, else they will not do anything. It is often easier to hang onto their issue, than to do the work to make it go away. I remember when I was sick when I was young. My choice was live or die — so I got better. That was my choice. Now, when I have an issue, I use the tools that I have learned to make it go away ASAP.

Unfortunately, often people take their doctors word as gospel. I had one client who wanted her mother to come see me. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and they told her she had 6 months to live. She never came to see me and died in exactly 6 months per the doctors prediction. Words are very powerful and it is sad that the current U.S. health system doesn’t provide options to clients. It is also sad that they take advantage of the the power they have to predict a person’s time frame and that people are so complacent to accept that as fact.

Another one of my clients went to a doctor and was told she was going to have to go on kidney dialysis in 6 months. She chose to change her diet and within a few months, her kidney issues were corrected. She went back to the doctor to confirm her issue had been reversed and said “how dare you not tell me what my other options were!” The medical system is not set up for that, most doctors are only taught allopathic options and typically don’t empower their patients to explore other options that might be available for the clients health issue. This client actually did the work and achieved the results she wanted regardless of what her doctor said. There are some people that want to get healthy and are willing to take necessary steps to make that happen, but lately it seems like there are more people that are resigned to just give up and stay sick.

Getting healthy is work. Exercising, eating correctly for your body, avoiding billions of dollars of marketing selling junk to us, and listening to our bodies to hear what it is telling us so we can take corrective action seems impossible for many. An even bigger hurdle is looking at any possible underlying emotional issues that are causing/contributing to the health issues.

Do you want to get healthier? What are you willing to do or give up or change to make that happen? How bad do you want to be healthy?
